Payment Source expands the reach of Amazon Cash in Canada with its real-time reload technology

Payment Source, Canada’s premier alternative payments provider, is pleased to announce that Amazon Cash is now fully available within the Now Prepay retail network. Now customers can top up their Amazon Balance at over 7,000 Now Prepay retailers across Canada. This new capability is a significant expansion of Amazon Cash within Canada and provides increased convenience for customers, who can load their Amazon Balance at retail locations with extended hours (some of which are 24-hour locations). 

Payment Source’s Now Prepay network, powered by Loadhub, leverages real-time reload (RTR) technology. The retailer simply selects “Amazon Cash” from the menu and inputs the mobile number associated with the customer’s Amazon account into the point-of-sale (POS) terminal. When the mobile number is validated, the retail clerk inputs the desired dollar amount. Transactions can be any amount between $5 and $500. After payment, an Amazon.ca Gift Card is automatically applied to the customer’s Amazon Balance and is available for use on Amazon.ca immediately. Best of all, there are no fees to add funds with Amazon Cash.

This expansion is another step toward Payment Source’s strategy of empowering inclusion in Canada. Customers who don’t have a credit card or prefer not to pay for online purchases with a credit card can still have the choice and convenience of shopping online. They can now load their Amazon Balance at any Canada Post or Now Prepay retail location.
